If you’re interested in U.S. politics and international affairs, that’s reason enough. Most days I write about all things political or globally disruptive. Mine is not a news site, it’s an opinion site. I’ve always found that my readers are already well-informed about events, and so they need no extensive background information. My writing is conversational, which is to say, I always avoid sesquipedalian words. I welcome comments from everyone, meaning non-paying subscribers too; PMC’s Substack is free, as is my primary site, pmcarpenter.com. A paid subscription is $8 a month.

Stay up-to-date

Never miss an update—every new post is sent directly to your email inbox. Should that annoy you, there’s an easy fix. Trash it.

Dean Martin used to sign off from his old variety show with the line, “Keep those card and letter coming in, folks.” My readership is small, both here and at pmcarpenter.com, so I can relate to Dean’s humorous “Goodnight.” But someday I hope to be able to say, “Keep those comments coming in, folks.”
